Pakistani Spinners Dismantle South Africa for 269 in First Innings

Pakistani spinners outclassed the visiting South Africans, bowling them out for 269 runs in their first innings and securing a commanding 109-run lead on the third day of the opening Test at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday.

Noman Ali led the spin assault with a brilliant six-wicket haul, conceding just 112 runs, while Sajid Khan claimed three for 98 and Agha Salman chipped in with one for 21.

South Africa’s Tony de Zorzi offered some resistance, scoring a valiant 104 before falling to Noman Ali.

Earlier, Sajid Khan provided Pakistan with an early breakthrough by dismissing Senuran Muthusamy for 11 runs, setting the tone for a dominant bowling display.

The visitors ended the day 2 on 216 for the loss of six wickets in reply to Pakistan’s first innings total of 378 runs.

At stumps, South Africa were 216 for six in 67 overs, with de Zorzi unbeaten on 81 off 140 balls, laced with nine fours and a six.
