Dolly Parton may want Jenna Bush Hager after seeing THIS audition video

Jenna Bush Hager has auditioned for a role in Dolly Parton’s upcoming Broadway musical.

Hager, co-host of Today with Hoda & Jenna, expressed her desire for a small part in the show.

On the December 9 episode, Hager asked Parton for a chance to be an extra, saying, “Dolly. Please? I just want a small part!”

Kotb playfully added, “It would be a dream, Dolly, if my friend Jenna Bush Hager might have a shot at something. All she wants it so be an extra. Just in the back, having coffee.”

However, Hager suggested, “Or what about part of the chorus? What about a part of the ensemble?” to which Kotb replied, “no.”

It is worth mentioning that Hager also recorded a video of her audition, where she performed Parton’s hit song Jolene.

“I have prepared for you, miss Dolly Parton, the lyrics to ‘Jolene.’ But my voice is a little off,” Hager explained in the video.

Kotb emphasised, “Just do it. Just sell it!”

Parton’s musical Dolly: An Original Musical, is set to feature both classic songs and new ones written specifically for the show.

The deadline for submissions is January 12, 2025.
