Ryan Reynolds and Andrew Garfield still seem to have that bromance going.

The actors recently reunited and reflected on their memorable Golden Globe Awards kiss that went viral in 2017, discussing the lighthearted moment during a new episode of Variety’s Actors on Actors series on Monday.

The playful kiss happened after Reynolds lost the Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical award to Ryan Gosling for La La Land.

“And of course, Gosling absolutely did not deserve it,” Reynolds joked. “I’m actually a genuine, nutty fan of his.”

Garfield chimed in, saying, “I’m glad that you were game for that, and I also retrospectively felt a little bit insensitive towards Ryan’s moment.”

Reynolds agreed, sharing, “I did too, but I was so grateful that it was such a wide shot that nobody actually noticed until later, and it was actually kind of perfect.”

The kiss, which sparked a wave of online reactions, was only noticed in real time by Reynolds’ wife, Blake Lively, and a woman seated next to Garfield.

Garfield recalled feeling the need to apologize to Gosling, saying, “But I was able to apologize to Ryan about that, thankfully, and say I’m so, so sorry!”

Reynolds, keeping the conversation light, joked, “I actually just egged his house, which is super childish to do, but I didn’t feel so great about losing.”

During the conversation, Reynolds took a moment to praise Garfield, sharing how much he and his wife admire the actor.

“You can do no wrong in our house. [We love] your work and your dedication. You do something that only you can do, and that’s a beautiful thing to watch in action.”

Garfield returned the compliment, marveling at Reynolds’ contributions as the head writer on Deadpool & Wolverine.

“I don’t know anyone else who’s doing it, in terms of peeling back the onion of the self-awareness and meta-ness and also retaining a heart and providing a genuine service to fans while also kind of mocking.”

While Garfield’s recent film, We Live in Time, received no nominations for the upcoming 82nd Golden Globe Awards on January 5, Reynolds’ Marvel film is in the running for “Cinematic and Box Office Achievement,” celebrating its massive $1.33 billion box office success.
