Queen Camilla’s son shares behind the counter at Al-Fayed’s Harrods

Tom Parker Bowles, son of Queen Camilla, has shared disturbing details of his time working at Harrods as a teenager, offering an unsettling account of the department store’s former owner, Mohamed Al-Fayed.

Speaking on The Go-To Food podcast, Parker Bowles described Al-Fayed as “horrible” to his staff, revealing that employees were well aware of his predatory behavior.

Bowles recalled that Al-Fayed, who owned the iconic London store for 25 years, had a notorious reputation for speaking to “pretty girls,” a behavior that was widely recognized by those who worked there.

“Everyone knew he was a wrong-un,” he said, adding that Al-Fayed’s actions were no secret among the staff.

This comes amid police investigations into his alleged abuse of at least 11 women between 1977 and 2013, with the youngest victim reportedly only 13 years old.

Al-Fayed passed away last year, but his troubling legacy continues to make headlines. His son, Dodi, tragically died in the same car crash as Princess Diana in 1997.

He described Al-Fayed as “terrifying,” recalling how the powerful businessman would make his rounds at the store surrounded by bodyguards.

His reputation for creating a toxic and unsafe environment at Harrods has since been confirmed by US lawyer Gloria Allred, who described the store under his leadership as “toxic, unsafe and abusive.”
