Amy Dowden has returned home following a successful second mastectomy just in time to watch Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night.
The dancer was first diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2023 and has since undergone extensive treatment, including a mastectomy, chemotherapy, fertility procedures, and a life-threatening battle with sepsis.
Earlier this week, she had announced she was preparing for a second mastectomy and has now shared a snap as she recovers at home watching the competition.
The BBC star flashed a million dollar smile at the camera as she appeared relaxed, sitting on her sofa in her pyjamas with a cup of tea.
In a second photo, Amy was seen posing for a selfie with family and friends during her recovery.
She wrote: ‘Home, resting up, still got my drain in but rrrrready for the best entertainment and medicine there is for me.
‘Good luck everyone. Cheering you all on from home!
Lots of luck and love xxxx.’
The post brought good news for Amy and Strictly fans alike, who quickly rushed to the comments section to wish her a ‘speedy recovery’ including host Claudia Winkleman, who left three three red heart emojis.
It comes after Amy revealed her second mastectomy surgery had gone well, sharing a positive health update with fans.
